Each spring, the Gibbes throws the most epic street party on the peninsula, with bites and sips from local chefs and bartenders, plus live music and themed entertainment  — i.e. a dancing dragon snaking through the 2016's "Year of the Gibbes" fete.

This year's theme is "Light up the Night" (which we are certain is not an open invitation to 'light one up' FYI) but rather, as the Gibbes explains it, a theme which "showcases the Gibbes' dynamic space in a whole new light — under the night sky." With an "all-star" lineup of more than 30 local restaurants as well as an open bar, there will be plenty of revelry to be had.

"The street party allows guests to experience art through every sense," said Gibbes executive director Angela Mack. "We are delighted to bring together the Charleston community for the 10th annual street party for a spectacular evening of celebration."

Participating restaurants include Butcher & Bee, Charleston Grill, Chez Nous, Coda Del Pesce, Edmund's Oast, The Establishment, FIG, Gabrielle, McCrady's, Red Drum, Melfi's, Wild Olive, WildFlour Pastry, and many more.

You can purchase tickets ($150/members, $175/non-members) online
