Mon. June 24, Louie’s Kids hosts its 12th annual Little Chef Big Chef event at Halls Signature Events. The evening entails a five-course meal prepared by five renowned Charleston chefs with the help of their young “little chefs," who are recruited by Louie’s Kids.
Nonprofit Louie’s Kids was founded in 2011 by Louis Yuhasz after he lost his father to a stroke brought on by his weight. The organization aims to help children fight obesity by implementing healthy lifestyle changes in their everyday life.
This will be the 12th annual Little Chef Big Chef event, with this year's fundraiser tripling in size from previous years. While raising money for Louie's Kids, the event also gets area youth excited about healthy cooking and eating, led by Charleston top culinary minds.
Robyn Guisto (Halls Management Group) will be serving as the host chef. Additional participating chefs include Marc Collins (Circa 1886), Bob Cook (Edmund’s Oast), Will Fincher (Obstinate Daughter), and Richard “Chip” Plaistowe (Halls Management Group).
Both big and little chefs will present guests with their five course meals, along with a wine and beer pairing selected for each course. Tickets are $240 per person and a non-alcohol ticket is $175 per person.
These tickets include the five-course meal, the beer and wine pairings, tax, and gratuity. Attendance is limited to 80 guests so it is best to buy a ticket as early as possible. Make your reservation by calling (843) 724-3808 Mon.-Fri. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
