The team at the Performing Arts Center released some great rock ’n’ roll news today. Tickets for the just-announced Robert Plant and the Band of Joy concert scheduled for Fri. Feb. 4 will go on sale this week.

Plant is the former Led Zeppelin frontman and a longtime solo artist. He recently released a studio album titled Band of Joy on the Rounder label. It’s an eclectic and twangy collection covers and reinterpretations of obscure songs.

Plant originally formed the blues/R&B-based Band of Joy in 1966 (before he joined Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin). For the new album, he enlisted songwriter/guitarist Buddy Miller as co-producer. The band features string player Darrell Scott, bassist Byron House, drummer Marco Giovino, and guests. Plant and the band recently confirmed a 15-date North American tour, starting on Jan. 18 in Asheville, N.C.

Reserved seats for the show go on sale for $65 and $45 at 10 a.m. on Fri. Nov. 19. They’ll be available at the box office, Ticketmaster outlets (including select Publix stores), by phone at (800) 745-3000, and online at ticketmaster.com.
