The Charleston Music Hall recently announced two special sprint concerts.
Newly-formed supergroup Tedeschi Truck Band — featuring guitarist/singers Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks — will headline on Tues. April 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Trucks and Tedeschi recently announced the official band name. They are set to tour extensively this spring and summer in support of their debut album, which is to due in early June. The main lineup in the studio features Kofi Burbridge (keys and flute), Oteil Burbridge (bass), Tyler Greenwell and J.J. Johnson (drums), and several guest vocalists and horn players.

On Wed. April 13, acclaimed roots/groove songwriter Citizen Cope (born Clarence Greenwood) returns for a solo acoustic set of hip-hop-inflicted funk-rock and reggae grooves. Cope is on the road doing intimate acoustic dates in support of his recent album The Rainwater LP and a slew of new material.
