Several bands will come together to perform Wild Wiles BBQ, an afternoon benefit show and barbecue at Jimbo’s Rock Lounge on Sat. June 25.

The event is designed to raise funds for 11-year-old Jason Wiles of Branchville, who is fighting an almost 10-year battle with liver cancer, and his family. The cookout starts at 11:30 a.m. and live music runs through 6 p.m.

Singer/guitarist Johnny Mac and the BootyRanch — with drummer Stevie Kent and bassist Chris Watts — will share the stage with Samuel Sanders, Spunjwurthi (featuring singer/percussionist Larry Strickland), and Kemp Ridley. There’ll be door prizes, homemade barbecue, and a silent auction as well.

Admission is $10. Proceeds go to cover Wiles’ medical expenses. —Jared Booth
