Things are up and rolling at Plan B, a new nightclub in West Ashley, located at 3025 Ashley Town Center in the space formerly occupied by Halligan’s. The large-sized club features a full restaurant and bar, large-screen and projection TVs, pool tables, a large dance floor, and a big stage for live bands and DJs.

So far, the band lineup is a mix of modern rock, metal, funk, and vintage beach and shag. Metallica tribute band Battery headlines on Thurs. Aug. 18. Award-winning local party band PlaneJane plays on Sat. Aug. 27. Some of the shag-friendly shows co-presented by the folks at J.B. Pivots include the Embers on Thurs. Sept. 1, the Charleston Beach Music and Shag Festival on Sept. 4-5, and the Tams on Thurs. Sept. 15.
