In 2008, Rucker released a country-styled solo album titled Learn to Live on Capitol Records and hit the top of the radio and sales charts. The disc earned him the New Artist Award from the Country Music Association. Last year, follow-up album Charleston, SC 1966 scored two number-one singles with "Come Back Song" and "This."
Rucker heads to the U.K. and Europe for a series of dates before returning to the States for a fall tour that brings him to the North Charleston Coliseum on Sat. Nov. 12. Country acts Justin Moore and Thompson Square are on the bill as well. Tickets go on sale for the concert at 10 a.m. on Fri. Aug. 19 at the coliseum box office, online at ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 800-745-3000.
