Organized by local veterinarian and music fanatic Brian King, Skinful is in its 11th year. King and his team previously held the big music ’n’ dance party at various spots on James Island, Johns Island, and North Charleston. This year marks the second in a row at the Brick House Kitchen, which will serve food and offer off-site parking with a shuttle. The event will feature cash bars on site offering beer, wine, and spirits.
King started this infamous Halloween party, as he puts it, “to inspire ultimate free expression and utter Halloween freakiness.” He recently announced several headlining acts this week, including Mix Master Mike (of the Beastie Boys), Too Short, Tanya Stephens, the New Birth Brass Band, and Zumjay. A slew of local bands and DJs fill the bill.
Other activities and performances will include pole dancing, jump castles, a mechanical bull, glass walkers/eaters, circus performers, and electric hula-hoopers. General admission tickets are available for $50, and VIP tickets (private lounge, private DJ, open bar) are available for $100.
