Shovels and Rope stopped in Charleston a few weeks ago for a sold out show at the Charleston Music Hall and will play over the final weekend of Coachella, the Indio, CA super-festie this weekend before embarking on a 35+ show tour over the summer. Last week, The Lumineers announced a tour date at Family Circle Cup Stadium on June 14, and tickets went on sale Friday.
Austin City Limits as been an obligatory stop for rising and established acts alike for almost four decades, but Shoro (their nickname, not ours) isn't the first Charleston act to make the pilgrimage to the Live Music Capital of the World. Band of Horses has played ACL's fall music festival a few times and taped an episode of ACL last year with The National, which aired in January.
