Charleston-native big-time country star Darius Rucker released the new music video for his tune "Homegrown Honey" today, showing off scenes filmed on location in Conway, South Carolina.
Rucker reportedly coordinated some filming through Coastal Carolina University's marketing office, shooting at Rivertown Bistro in downtown Conway and a sold-out show at CCU's HTC Center on August 23.
The Carolina Forest Chronicle says the blonde woman in the video was actually an actress, but that many of the other people seen in the video are Coastal Carolina students. CCU social media coordinator Brent Reser posted about the video shoot on his blog.
"Homegrown Honey" is the first single off Darius' yet-to-be released solo country album due out next year.
