SUSTO has been dealt a pretty great hand the past few weeks, what with going on the road, stopping in to Daytrotter for a full-band recording, and hitting the studio with producer Wolfgang Ryan Zimmerman to focus on the new album (tentatively titled & I’m Fine Today
). And today, the local five-piece announced they’ve officially signed on with Paradigm Talent Agency, whose clients
include big shots like Tame Impala, MGMT, Herbie Hancock, Aerosmith, The Decemberists, Shakey Graves, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Franz Ferdinand, Dave Matthews Band, the National, and we could go on and on, y’all.
“We’ve got three great agents with them: Keith Levy, Mike Marquis, and Kevin French,” frontman Justin Osborne says.
Oh, and Osborne is set to play a couple of solo London gigs in September as well as a festival in Sweden on Aug. 29. Plus, Charleston Music Hall’s Charles Carmody teamed up with Jerrod Wilkins of Gold Mountain Entertainment back in April to manage the band. Osborne says, “They’ve been a huge help in bringing all of these exciting things together for us.”
