Ben Folds is coming to Charleston Music Hall on November 9

Ready to Rock This Bitch?

Ben Folds, a.k.a. the king of old-school indie piano-pop, will perform at the Charleston Music Hall on Mon. Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m.

The multi-platinum-selling artist and producer who rose to fame with Ben Folds Five has been busy working on his upcoming release, So There. After composing “Concerto for Piano and Orchestra” with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra in 2013, Folds continued performing with symphonies, ultimately collaborating with New York City chamber ensemble yMusic to create the new record. So There combines classical and pop with eight new chamber-pop songs written, arranged, and recorded by Folds and yMusic along with “Concerto for Piano and Orchestra,” a production overseen by rock engineer Elliot Scheiner. The album is slated for a September 11 release.

Tickets for the show at the Hall will be up for grabs at 10 a.m. this Fri. Aug. 28. Prices start at $39.50.
