Family ties

Popular online music publication Consequence of Sound premiered a video yesterday of A Fragile Tomorrow’s cover of “One Way Ticket” with 1960s folk legend Joan Baez.

The collaboration is a poetic tribute to family ties. As we mentioned back in May, the track was written by 1960s folk stars Mimi and Richard Fariña. The late Richard Fariña, who was also an author, is a cousin of A Fragile Tomorrow brothers Sean, Dominic, and Brendan Kelly, while Mimi Fariña is Baez's late sister.

Producer Julie Wolf helped out with the track along with long-time AFT friends, the Indigo Girls. The result is a harmony-driven masterpiece that’s endearing and heartfelt. The video also includes black-and-white footage from the Fariña heyday.

AFT will head to head to Tel Aviv for a couple of shows with K's Choice next month before joining the Indigo Girls for a set of tour dates in October.
