Charleston Music Hall announced this morning the venue will host Alabama soul act St. Paul & the Broken Bones on Thurs. Jan. 21. Led by charismatic frontman Paul Janeway, the brass-heavy throwback band has been to Charleston before — most recently at Southern Ground and Spoleto — but this will be the guys' first non-festival performance since they came to the Pour House in 2013.
Meanwhile, the Music Farm has announced veteran indie rockers Yo La Tengo will be touring through Charleston in support of their latest effort Stuff Like That There, making a stop at the Farm on Sun. April 3. The New Jersey trio have created indie-pop since the mid-’80s, maintaining a massive cult following ever since.
Tickets for An Evening with Yo La Tengo ($20-22) will go on sale this Fri. Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. here.
