When Austin City Limits revealed its lineup today, we recognized a few names on the bill.

Now in its 15th year, the annual Texas music festival is set for the weekends of Sept.30-Oct 2 and Oct.7-9, with local indie-country five-piece SUSTO performing on Weekend Two. Meanwhile, Charleston's Band of Horses will play both weekends, as will Caveman, the Brooklyn-based indie-rock band that local drummer Benji Lee (FALINE, Grace Joyner) joined back in March. Caveman, who recently premiered the video for "Never Going Back" on Pitchfork, also has Charleston ties in its bassist Jeff Berrall, a former CofC student.

Tickets to Austin City Limits are on sale now at aclfestival.com.

SUSTO hasn't been short of good news lately — like, at all. Daytrotter featured the band (again) today with a brand new, full-band session that includes the songs “Acid Boys,” “Black Jesus,” “Hard Drugs,” and “Vampiro 66" — all of which are also currently streaming on Paste Magazine's website.

In the middle of a nationwide tour, the band landed a sponsorship and three new axes from Gretsch Guitars last weekend. In addition to a photo of (our favorite nude model) Johnny Delaware’s hair blowing in the wind, the company also posted a flattering review of the quintet’s Stagecoach set on their website. SUSTO played last Saturday at the Southern California country music festival, where they were rated as one of the top 20 acts to see by Alternate Root Magazine.

On top of that, the band dropped a video this week for “Cigarettes, Whiskey & Wine,” which doubled as a teaser for their upcoming documentary Tour or Die. Here's a fun still from that:

SUSTO will perform back in the ’hood on Sat. May 14 during D’Allesandro’s Elliotborough Block ‘n’ Roll party as well as Hearts & Plugs' Summer Shindig at the Royal American on Sat. June 25.

Phew. We can barely keep up with these guys, so stay tuned to facebook.com/sustoisreal for further info and updates.
