The Shovels & Rope-curated High Water Festival is only a few weeks away from its debut, and today the duo announced
they'll kick things off on Fri. April 21 at 6 p.m. with a little shidnig they're calling the Low Tide Social.
The separately ticketed party will happen on the festival grounds in Riverfront Park in North Charleston, where the Smoking Pot will serve up a traditional Lowcountry Boil. Special performances by Lucinda Williams, Langhorne Slim, and Charleston's own Ranky Tanky will follow.
Tickets for Low Tide Social go on sale this Fri. March 17 at 10 a.m. Tickets are $65 and available to current festival ticketholders as well as the general public, who can obtain a ticket via Ticketmaster
High Water Festival takes place on Sat. April 22 and Sun. April 23 at Riverfront Park and will feature the Avett Brothers, the Shins, Lucius, and much more. For more info and a full lineup, go to highwaterfest.com
