A real life School of Rock
, the Bach to Rock music school franchise caters to students of all ages. The school's aim is to redefine how people learn music — boring, solitary lessons are a thing of the past. At Bach to Rock, students take lessons in a group setting, so the endeavor feels more like a "team sport."
The first location in the Palmetto state, and the 24th in the country, Mt. Pleasant Bach to Rock
will have its grand opening Sat. Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public can visit and tour the school, meet the teachers, learn about the classes offered, and check out the school's recording studio.
This Bach to Rock franchise is owned by Brad and Cindy Dunnells; the couple says that "owning a Bach to Rock school is a dream come true for us ... It will be a joy coming to work every day helping students nurture their musical creativity, and ensuring our Back to Rock school becomes an integral part of the Mount Pleasant community."
The school will offer individual classes, group classes such as Rock Band, Rock City program for preschoolers and toddlers, Kids-n-Keys for children grades K-2 interested in piano, as well as summer camps and birthday parties. The school has also recently adopted a digital service that allows parents to track student advancement, schedule lessons, obtain homework, and stream more than 300 pre-recorded songs for home practice.
