Shovels & Rope rawk the High Water Festival 2017 stage
Miss out on 2017's inaugural High Water Festival? Well, that sucks — nothing we can do about that. It was a memorable weekend full of stellar moments, like a mid-afternoon day-maker performance from the late Charles Bradley, the glorious, too-good-to-be-true Lucius and Shovels & Rope's cover of Elvis Costello's "Peace, Love and Understanding," and a Shrimp Record hootenanny to remind us of the fantastic talent Charleston continues to breed. But never fear — by the looks of today's lineup announcement, fest founders and curators Shovels & Rope mean to make the 2018 edition count, too. Oh, yes they do.
Without further ado, next year's High Water Festival lineup includes:
Band of Horses
Shovels & Rope
St Paul and the Broken Bones
Tank & The Bangas
Shrimp Records Family Band
The Wild Reeds
T. Hardy Morris
High Water Festival 2018 takes place April 21-22 at Riverfront Park in North Charleston. The Low Tide Social will return as well on Fri.
