NYC transplant Kyle Lacy will debut his Chuck Berry-esque four-piece Charleston Wildest on Sat. March 9 at Bay Street Biergarten, complete with upright base and horn to back Lacy’s soulful vocals. The group takes its name from Louis Prima’s 1950s stage show, The Wildest, to honor the blues era, Lacy said. He calls it a danceable original show that’s fast and loose like swing music itself — listen for yourself here — new solo single "Hangin' On" is out today on Dala Records.
