Two interesting movie items today.
One, the Godzilla-like monster in the J.J. Abrams-produced Cloverfield is ready for you to bitch and moan about: Go here. (Personally, I wish the makers had used 1.18.08 as the title, the sole info on the original teaser poster, since it would have allowed the filmmakers to use an attack by Godzilla as a metaphor for 9/11. Godzilla, of course, is a metaphor for the two A-bomb attacks on Japan.)
And it looks like the first cyberpunk novel is finally going to hit the big screen — William Gibson's Neuromancer. The novel has one of the best first lines ever: "The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel."
