Sorry, Democrats, but you can't distance yourselves from Hilary Rosen

I'll be brief here, but this is really a simple matter.

Democrats, Hilary Rosen is yours, and you can't distance yourselves from her.

She said that stay-at-home mom Ann Romney "never worked a day in her life," and, well, you have to suffer the consequences.

And believe you me, you can denounce her. You can proclaim that she's an employee of CNN and not the DNC. And you can close your eyes, cross your fingers, do 15 Hail Marys, and try to wish it all away, but what Hilary Rosen said will not disappear.

In the ongoing War on Women, you just suffered your first loss, and it won't be your last. Joe Biden is bound to say something — something extraordinarily stupid. You need to throw him into Dick Cheney's hidden bunker and keep the doors locked until this Susie Homemaker contro is news-cycled out.

Here's the thing, the Democrats have to understand: You can't bash the GOP for every asinine comment that comes out of Rush Limbaugh's mouth and throw a temper tantrum when one of your own inserts her own foot in her mouth. You can't.

So suck it up, guys. Grow a pair and move on.

As for me, I can't wait until Ken Burns gives the War on Women the full-on PBS-docu treatment. I'm sure it'll be riveting stuff.
