It’s that time of year again, again.
The Greater Park Circle Film Society is readying its biannual Lowcountry Indie Shorts program and they’re currently accepting submissions from filmmakers from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia through Sept. 15. Films can come from any genre and can have been shown at previous events, but they must have been made in 2011 and must be between two and 30 minutes.
The fest takes place on Sept. 24, and accepted filmmakers will be invited to participate in a Q&A and panel discussion. “I look forward to each Lowcountry Indie Shorts because it shows how a great story can be told in just a few minutes, without a huge budget,” says Nicholai Burton, president of PCFS. “It’s a ton of work to program a full night of shorts twice each year, but it’s worth it for a chance to share these regional gems with the community.”
