If you thought the Terrace Theater was cool, guess what? It just got a little bit cooler.

On June 8, the theater will make its 3-D debut in celebration of the opening of Ridley Scott's Prometheus, the prequel to Alien. At no extra charge. That's right, gone are the days when you had to pay an extra five bucks for the funky, plastic sunglasses.

"It's for people who want 3-D without the crush of the bucks," says Terrace owner Paul Brown. "Independent theaters support the idea that the movie-going experience should be a consistent value for customers." And if the Terrace didn't have enough hipster cred, they're also the first movie theater in South Carolina to offer the 3-D experience without an additional cost.

After the opening of Prometheus, keep an eye for some more upcoming 3-D releases, including Ang Lee's Life of Pi and Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby.
