Some things are known to get better with age — wine, some kinds of gouda, Robert Redford. Movies don't normally make that list. In fact, once they get shelved it's almost always a death sentence for the production. But Knights of Badassdom is the exception.
Originally shot in 2010 in Seattle, the film never found a distributor so it sat collecting dust. But people never really forgot about it. In fact, Badassdom already has a bit of a cult following.
And we totally get why. The film stars Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), Steve Zahn (Joy Ride, Sahara — but we're pretty sure he's a vampire because he doesn't age) as three LARPers. Yes, that's live-action role playing. These LARPing fools create mayhem when they open a portal to a succubus (played by Revenge's Margarita Levieva).
Antics will ensue, perhaps even a little love tryst, as the trio of friends must deal with the havoc they've unleashed on their kingdom. But in order to be able to check out the badassery of Badassdom when it makes its way to Cinebarre on Feb. 5, 66 people need to reserve their tickets.
