If Hillary and Barack thought they knew how to throw down, the have certainly got a lesson from the two far-right contenders for the GOP nomination: former Gov. Mike Huckabee and Sen. Sam Brownback.
The preacher appologized and Huckabee's camp stressed that the man was only a supporter (and we've all seen how some of these folks get all crazy for their candidate). But that wasn't good enough for Brownback, who is calling for Huckabee to apologize as well. Apparently, Huckabee is not in the mood, according to spokesman Chip Saltsman, a Catholic.
"It's time for Sam Brownback to stop whining and start showing some of the Christian character he seems to always find lacking in others.…For Brownback to claim that the Governor "owes him an apology" is nonsense and indicates that if Brownback is going to fall to pieces every time a supporter of the Governor says something he doesn't like, he clearly isn't tough enough to be President. The Governor strongly disavowed the statement by the supporter, but that wasn't enough for Brownback. He continued to cry about it."
Growl. Save that energy for Sunday, tiger.
