On Tuesday, Mitt Romney sat down with students, faculty and alumni at Bob Jones University to explain how a member of a what Bob Jones III called a "cult" should lead social conservatives and the rest of the nation. The closed door meeting was recorded by an alumnus upset over Jones' endorsement of Romney.
"I've met with Dr. Jones a couple of times," Romney said. "We've had good long discussions. And we've talked, as you might imagine, we don't talk about doctrines of churches, all right? Because he says, 'Look, your church is wrong,' and I say 'Fine.'"
Fine? Aren't the Mormon's the ones that set young men out on missions to preach to the world? Mitt sure is abandoning the argument real quick.
