According to a press release from the S.C. Equality PAC, Tinkler and Condon are "fair-minded candidates for state and local office who believe in a South Carolina that is inclusive of all communities, especially lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) citizens and our families."

According to the website of S.C. Equality, the 10-year-old advocacy group that started the PAC, representatives from the group were interviewing candidates and considering endorsements in August.
