Folks have been Uber-ing their pants off across Charleston since its launch last week, but tomorrow, the guys from Uber are adding two scoops of fun to your Friday with Uber Ice Cream. Yep, it's like Uber, but for ice cream.
From 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. tomorrow, you can summon ice cream to wherever you are just as you would request a pickup from the ride-sharing service, just make sure to select the ice cream option. It's all a part of #UberIceCream, a 140+ city worldwide sub-zero bonanza that will be delivering frozen treats and Uber swag as fast as everyones' little tapping fingers can claim them.
The trucks will be dishing out the goods in packs of 5 for $20, but no need to stash away your cash, the order will be billed right to your Uber account. Be sure to check your app early and often, Uber warns that demand will be very high. But they tells us there won't be any surge pricing for Super Mario Ice Cream Bars. (Sorry, Uber jokes...)
And don't forget, Uber is offering your first five rides for free up to $25 in all four new Uber cities in S.C.: Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Columbia, and Greenville.
