Sometime between Oct. 12 and 16, someone stole 1,900 feet of copper power cord from the James Island County Park's Holiday Festival of Lights display, according to an incident report filed with the Charleston Police Department.

Police responded Monday to a report that the copper wire had been stolen. Many of the decorations for the Holiday Festival of Lights, a light display that will open for the 25th year on Nov. 14, are left in place at the park year-round. The report states that wire was stolen from multiple sites within the park, and the estimated total value of the stolen wire is $4,000.

The report states that there are no known suspects and no surveillance video footage documenting the theft.
