South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley just wrapped up giving the official Republican response to President Barack Obama’s final State of the Union address.
During the nine-minute response, Haley took a few shots at the president, ‘business as usual’ politics, and even Donald Trump — her own party’s presidential frontrunner.
Haley: “During anxious times, it can be tempting to follow the siren call of the angriest voices. We must resist that temptation."
The governor also touched on South Carolina's reaction after the Mother Emanuel shooting in June.
Haley: "Our state was struck with shock, pain, and fear. But our people would not allow hate to win. We didn’t have violence, we had vigils. We didn’t have riots, we had hugs."
