If it rules on appeals to North Carolina's controversial 'anti-LGBT' bill, the federal appeals court's ruling would also affect South Carolina. The North Carolina bill forces schools and governments to only allow use of bathrooms based on one's gender at birth and bans local governments from expanding local civil rights protections for LGBTQ individuals. State Attorney General Alan Wilson held a press conference yesterday accusing Solicitor David Pascoe of "tainting" the investigation into public corruption in the state House, defending his actions to pull Pascoe off the inquiry.
