Charleston protesters continue to speak out in light of last week's testimony by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the California professor who alleges that Judge Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a party while they were in high school.

On Fri. Sept. 29, dozens showed up in support of Dr. Ford and to repudiate Lindsey Graham's conduct during the Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation hearing — which was expertly mocked by SNL's Kate McKinnon over the weekend — in front of the senator's Mt. Pleasant office.
Today, a smaller protest is taking place until 5 p.m. in front of the senator's office.

Tomorrow, The Tuesday Group will make the hearings the focus of its standing "Speak the Truth" event in Marion Square downtown.
The activist group is an offshoot of Indivisible Charleston, according to organizer Tom Starland.

From noon to 1 p.m., attendees are invited to take the mic and express how they feel about last week's events.

According to a Facebook page for the event:
All are welcome to speak and all are welcome to come listen. Then all are welcome to take action. The day we stop speaking our minds in America is the day democracy begins to die. Come take your turn at the mic. If you feel tongue-tied bring a sign with your opinion on it — most people walking and driving by are able to read — except for that one guy driving by in an expensive foreign car who yells out — "I Like Beer Too!". He’s a real patriot who probably keeps most of his taxable income in an off-shore bank.
