An anti-abortion group has targeted S.C. Rep. Nancy Mace after she advocated for exceptions for rape and incest to the proposed six-week abortion ban. Rep Josiah Magnuson (R, Spartanburg) reportedly left a card on Mace's desk saying that women who seek an abortion after being raped have "twisted logic that would kill the unborn child for the misdeed of the parent." One notable bills was the Energy Freedom Act, which removes the cap on reimbursement for solar power and requires utilities to change how they buy power from renewable energy sources.
