Fox gives other theaters ticket to restoration

"Atlanta's Fox Theatre (has) a new initiative to help other historic theaters in Georgia with restoration, programming, fund-raising and community development. The Fox plans to launch its Fox Theatre Institute on Friday at the League of American Historic Theatres conference in Atlanta."

School of the Arts says the state needs 12 new sound stages to successfully compete for films and television business. Jordan Kerner said today that the state needs a plan to build those stages within a year, or else North Carolina is 'in serious danger of being forgotten' by the entertainment industry."
