The Gibbes Museum of Art began offering cell phone audio tours on Aug 29. The new service allows visitors to customize their museum experience by selecting specific information of interest via their hand-held devices.
The tour will include The Charleston Story, an exhibit that tells the history of Charleston through paintings, sculptures, and prints. The Charleston Story audio tour features first-hand accounts from current Charleston artists like Jill Hooper, Juan Logan, West Fraser, and Leo Twiggs.
The museum is also offering a cell phone audio tour of Hands On! for visually impaired visitors. —Myles Hutto
