ETV’s Connections is bringing the best musicians to the stage in the program South Carolina Has Talent on Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. This American Idol-like show focuses on the locals throughout the state, giving them a chance to present their skills to the music business.
The three performers will be Victoria White, a singer and acoustic guitar player from Columbia; Rayvon, a contemporary R&B and hip-hop vocalist from Blythewood; and one of our own, Daniel Davis, a Charleston native who plays the violin with innovative and expressive sound.
A.J. Savage, the promotion manager with J Records, along with Otis Taylor Jr., the A&E columnist for The State, will give these rising stars suggestions on how to improve and provide information about trends in music. Check out the half-hour program and support S.C. artists. —Anna Linesch
