The Charleston Artist's Guild presents The Art Movement of Surrealism. Collector Robert Seay will present and lecture on one of the most important artistic movements of the 20th century.
The 45-minute presentation will include a question-and-answer session and a TV presentation of Salvador Dali and Walt Disney's surrealistic collaboration.
Books will be available on various surrealist masters and as many as 20 original surrealist works will be on display in the gallery during the presentation.
Potential artists include Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, Pablo Picasso, and Max Earnst just to name a few.
The art historical lecture and discussion will be held at the City Gallery at Waterfront Park on Thurs. April 9 at 6pm. —Candice Summers
