The Cooper River Bridge Run is about so much more than just the race, it's also about the parties. So here's a list of all the events going on before, during, and after the event to help you carb up, 'rehydrate', or wind down. Keep your bib on after you cross the finish line and you could rack up some sweet deals around town.
Mimosas are sweet and Bloody Mary's are filling but have you ever had a Breakfast Back? Bacon washed whiskey followed by a coffee maple chaser. Fiery Ron's is opening at 10 a.m. just so you can give one a try or munch on a bacon, egg, cheese sammie on a Brown's Court English muffin.
Turn the corner down Burns Alley right after you cross the finish line for a Bloody Mary and mimosa bar, live music, and plenty of other drink specials.
Fill your belly with all the good things at Bay Street Biergarten right after the race. At 10 a.m. they will open up a breakfast buffet ($23/adults, $18/kids) and plenty of drink specials.
Friday night get your carbo-load on with the folks at the Alley and their fettuccine pasta with choice of sauce and the option to add meatballs, chicken, or shrimp. After you've burned those up on your 6.2 mile jog head back for live music by Emily & Page and The Undercover Brothers and menu of loaded tots, breakfast spring rolls with gravy, chicken and waffle sliders, and more.
Rehydrate on a dime at Cumberland Smokehouse with $3 Bud light drafts, Mich Ultra cans, and fireball shots. With your bib you get an additional 15 percent off all food.
Drinks are pouring at Mac's Place with mimosas, Bloody Mary's, and plenty of drink specials.
The Cigar Factory is throwing a party for all you dedicated athletes after the race. There will be complimentary food, drinks, live entertainment, and outdoor games on the patio. So kick off your sneaks and let loose.
You don't even have to cross the start line to join this party. Head to The Shelter as early as 7 a.m. for brunch, a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar, $8.50 mimosa carafes, and live music.
Hit up Wild Wings downtown for $3 mimosas and Bloody Mary's and $4.50 Rebel Grapefruit IPA, live music by Dave Landeo at 10 a.m. and late night jams by Quentin Ravenel and Friends. March Madness buffs with lots of money on their bracket can head to Mt. P or North Chuck Wild Wings to catch all the games.
Fleet Landing will be open bright and early to serve up more mimosas, Bloody Mary's, and brunch while you sit on the deck and watch the hordes flood the bridge.
Great views and drink specials await you at the Vendue such as $5 Bellinis, Bloody Mary's, screwdrivers, and mimosas. So after grabbing your free finish line breakfast get to the rooftop at 10 a.m. and let the festivities begin.
