30th Annual Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival

When: Sun., April 30, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. 2017

If something’s been going on for 30 years you better believe it’s worth checking out — take the Blessing of the Fleet, for example. Presented by East Cooper Medical Center and Harris Teeter the day-long fest celebrates the Lowcountry’s fishing and shrimping industries with a boat parade, live music from acts like Saluda Shoals and the East Coast party band, a craft show, and more. And if you love shrimp, come real hungry because at 3:30 p.m. Gilligan’s Seafood Restaurant puts on a shrimp-eating contest. Yum.
