When: Thu., Oct. 27, 6-9 p.m. 2011
The organization Les Dames d’Escoffier brings together professional female leaders in the culinary field for philanthropy. What this means in basic terms, is that a bunch of accomplished women who appreciate good food and wine get together to raise money.
Local members include Nathalie Dupree, Marion Sullivan, Holly Herrick, Theresa Taylor, and many more. And aren’t we lucky that our dames have decided to host a throwdown at Lowndes Grove this week.
As the sun sets over the Ashley River on Thursday night, guests will be treated to more than 100 wines and expertly prepared local food made by the likes of Nathan Thurston of the Ocean Room and Chris Stallard of Chai’s. They’ll also have some live music and locally made items to auction off. Proceeds will go toward LDEI scholarships.
Tickets can be purchased beforehand at Charleston Cooks (192 E. Bay St.) and The Wine Shop (3 Lockwood Dr.).
