Art Today for Artists Tomorrow

When: Sat., June 9, 3-7 p.m. 2012

Time to get bizarre at the Charleston Pour House. In the spirit of supporting art education for inner city children, the venue will host a hodgepodge of an art sale, with 20 percent of sales donated toward Charleston’s YoArt! project. The patio of the Pour House will be packed with photographic prints and posters, sketches, wire sculptures, and paintings, as well as functional art like jewelry, clothing, clocks, and soaps. Ripley and the Ghost will bust out some good musical vibes, complete with harmonicas and banjos. There will also be an art supply drive, so feel free to bring paint brushes or construction paper. Take the kids, because this event is family friendly, and since it’s outside, it’s dog friendly too. Best of all, admission is totally free.
