Bachelor Bid Bash and Silent Auction

When: Sat., Aug. 20, 7 p.m. 2011

Across the country, people — usually women — like to gather in front of their TVs to watch some guys and gals try to win the heart of the prospective Bachelor or Bachelorette. But this week, you will have the chance to get your own here in the Holy City as the Charleston Jaycees host their Bachelor Bid Bash. The night is a benefit for the S.C. Jaycee Camp Hope, a residential camp located in Clemson designed for children and adults with developmental disabilities. The live auction, including date packages, starts at 8 p.m. and is emceed by auctioneer Craig Simmons. There will also be a silent auction that includes excursion packages and local activities. Tickets include heavy hors d’oeuvres, and an open bar, but you’ll have to shell out extra for your dream date. After all the pairings have been set, there will be an official after-party at Market Street Saloon.
