We’re not doctors, but we’re pretty sure there should be a disease named the back to school blues. Even us geeks who loved school, dreaded the first week back. But Wild Blue Ropes wants to help make going back a little more bearable — and it’s for a good cause. The ropes course is hosting a benefit that aids Pattison’s Academy, a therapeutic and comprehensive school for children with multiple disabilities, with live music from Gaslight Street and the Dead 27s, food tucks, and the option to get high — 35 feet high. Nosh on food from Lee’s Coconuts, Roti Rolls, Charleston Festival Foods, and Zombie Bob’s Pizza. Southern Eagle Distributors will be serving up drinks. For an extra $20, event-goers can test their bravery as they climb the ropes course. “In founding Wild Blue, we committed the company to becoming a B-Corp thereby using business as a force for good, and to date we have already worked with students from ABA Outreach, coordinated a yoga/climb event for Camp Happy Days, as well as the upcoming Back to School Bash supporting Pattison’s,” says Jacqueline Corcoran, from Wild Blue.
Price: $30/event and climb, $10/event
