Ballpark Festival of Beers

When: Sat., Aug. 15, 7-10 p.m. 2015

Come to this beer festival wearing your game, err, drinking face, because you can sample over 100 hundred different beers. Yep, you read that correctly. There will be no shortage of brews at this event, so why not try something new? Melissa McCants Azevedo, the VP of Special Events, says, “Between sampling, people can jump on the bucking rodeo bull, take shots down the ice luge, grab a pretzel necklace from Bay Street Biergarten, get a Henna Tattoo from Charleston Henna, or a foot rub from Health First.” Live music will set the mood with two bands playing throughout the night. The acoustic string band, Bluegrass Plantation Band, kicks off the event performing musical styles from Bluegrass and Country to Swing and Jazz, and Midnight City will finish the night with upbeat dance music. If you’re feeling hungry, some of Charleston’s favorite food trucks will be there including Kickin’ Chicken, Zombie Bobs Pizza, Cast Iron, Low Country Creole, Roti Rolls, and Sweet Lu Lu’s.
