Who's that lady? It's hard to think of Harriet Tubman as a whole person instead of focusing on her many acts of bravery: she was a Union spy, she fought during the Civil War, and, of course, she courageously led slaves to freedom on the Underground Railroad. Storyteller, playwright, and performer Natalie Daise gets behind the myth to the woman with Becoming Harriet Tubman.

One woman, five voices. Mindful of the need for variety in one-person shows, Daise includes five characters, based on real people, who speak their pieces through both narrative and music.

Remember Gullah Gullah Island? It was a show on Nick Jr. that shared Gullah culture with young children everywhere, and it just happened to star Daise and her husband.
