It’s gotta be hard to be a global warming denier in Charleston, especially when the effects of an increasingly hot world are staring us all in the face. Just take this year’s strawberry crop. Rather than harvesting in March, farmer Pete Ambrose had a big, beautiful bounty in January. And while that should alarm all of us, it was a boon for chefs. S.N.O.B., FIG, Park Cafe, Warehouse, and Obstinate Daughter all took advantage of the berries. Great news for our stomachs, frightening news for Earth. —Kinsey Gidick
