When we heard that Threshold, the small theater company that resides on Society Street, was tackling the massive musical Fiddler on the Roof, we admit we were a bit skeptical. But despite a couple of awkward moments, they really pulled it off. And since the play’s about the clash of tradition with modern ideas, Threshold’s break with typical staging added an extra symbolic level to the whole thing. Boo-yah. —
