There was almost no sense in unloading your winter wardrobe this season. Our sweaters may have waited patiently for a 40-degree day, or maybe even a freak snowfall like the ones that befell Charleston the past two years, but it was all in vain. There haven't been many below-freezing evenings this winter, and you were more likely to see someone walking around town in a T-shirt and shorts this February than a coat and scarf, especially on a recent sunny weekend when the temperatures hit record highs near the 80s. Let's all enjoy it now, because it may ultimately be a bad sign of the summer to come.
