For a while there, we didn’t know much about Elizabeth Colbert Busch, other than that she is Stephen Colbert’s sister, she works at the Clemson University Restoration Institute (a.k.a. the wind turbine facility), and she is a Democrat who hoped to win Tim Scott’s seat in the House of Representatives. For weeks, we tried to set up phoners to no avail. We scoured her website and came up empty-handed. We eventually sent a reporter out to interview her, and we didn’t come back with a heckuva lot. We liked her. We liked her story. We liked her credentials. We just didn’t know where she stood. And then, thanks to Bluffton Today, we learned exactly where Colbert Busch stood on issues that were near and dear to our liberal hearts. She’s pro-choice and pro-same-sex marriage. She believes in some sort of amnesty for illegal immigrants, and she’s for some sort of gun control legislation. Check, check, check, and check. Thanks, Elizabeth. We really needed to hear that.
