The Community Supported Agriculture craze started with the farms and has since spread to include artisan meats and seafood. Clammer Dave kicked off his CSA last year giving oyster-lovers the opportunity to buy in early and receive weekly shipments of locally harvested shellfish. For $325 you can get deliveries of clams in various sizes — pasta, littleneck, topneck, cherry, and chowder — and oysters, which are only available for four months of the year. Even better, Clammer Dave is a pretty flexible guy. You can spread your CSA out and only order what you need as you need it, or you can save it up and use it in one fell swoop for a big event. He'll even give you tips on how to cook it. Now that's worth a lot of clams.
